I believe a large number of cases of depression associated self harm to be ROOTED in need for attention (in the same way everyone needs attention) however I no longer wish to discuss this on this songs video. If you wish to continue it, Private message it please. Please understand I do not have something against people who self harm.

BULLSHIT. I myself have experienced depression but do not wish to share details online. So what I didn't self harm? Therefore I can't understand the pain, the empty hollow pointless mindset that depression brings? I was depressed and saw life as pointless, I needed help and attention. I got the help and now i'm fine. With a family history of medically diagnosed depression I can understand.

YES PEOPLE WHO SELF MUTILATE DO NEED ATTENTION, no offense but suggesting people who self harm don't need immediate attention? Bad Idea. People that are insecure (insecure is not used as an insult) generally need the help of a psychiatrist or someone to talk to. Both of which involve attention being paid. If you really wanted no one to find out. I think whilst not obvious depression is rooted in social needs.

I would hardly say most of the time it is not, however I will submit it was probably a biased statement to say it was normally for attention as that's the only form i've ever experienced (in others). But I would disagree with most of the time it is not. A huge number of people still self harm because they feel alone, unloved etc and they get a thrill from the attention (parents etc) it brings.
