lats are your back muscles. He is saying to focus on using your back to pull your body, rather than initiating the movement with your arms. It is a subtle difference, but is very easy to feel once done correctly.

Excuse me but I love doing pull ups and chin ups . I do about 25 chin ups and 15 pull ups a day and I'm 15 years of age and I'm just wondering what do you mean using Lats. I don't know what lats are please explain I'm afraid I might be doing them wrong

i'm saying, that u have to pull up with your LATS - not your arms, and that it may be hard for beginners, but it's crucial : )

deffinitely on the beggining. 3-4 sets for as much as u can + couple of negatives during two last sets or the last one. MAX 2 times a week. later, when u grow bigger and stronger do them just once a week, but still at the beggining of your workout.

not much more than during any other exercises. for loosing fat i recommend cardio on an emty stomach and of course ballanced diet.
