Upon many requests, I finally filmed a tutorial on How I Style my Naturally Curly Hair :)
- Herbal Essences - Long Term Relationship, Leave-in Split End Protector for Long Hair
NOTE: I realize I use a lot of mousse, but this particular one does not leave my hair hard to the touch, sticky or scrunchy... Once it settles in, it gives the most perfect, flexible hold curls ever.. I'm very sad this product is discontinued... :( Please let me know in the comments below if you know of any other mousse that you like

Depends on what you want to do with it. Try different types of gels/creams for styling - some people like mousse, others like gel. I prefer a cream-gel or pomade-type product. Also, make sure you moisturize plenty! If you want the same effect, a diffuser is a must, and you can also try not flipping your head upside down (for less volume). If you want to have softer curls, try pulling your hair back into loose buns (if it's too short for one, try two on either side) and sleeping on it.

The diffuser on your blowdryer won't MAKE curls, it just diffuses the air so instead of one big stream of air, you get more air overall that's less powerful. If your hair has no wave/curl at all, you'd need to either use curlers or a curling iron to get it curly. Try searching for nylon or sock curls for a no-heat, comfy solution.

Good tip!! I have a love/hate relationship with most mousse products, but the one that I do like is an Aussie product - it's mousse with leave-in conditioner. I don't remember the exact name, but just look for it on the shelves - pretty much ANY mousse with leave-in conditioner in it will work well, but Aussie's is the least crunchy or sticky.

bornthisway07 - 21.5.2012 1:11:05

I dont understand why dont you wear it like this 24/7 my hair looks just like yours and i think natural curls are beautiful. i understand u have your own extensions and there are millions of styles you can do ..... but its so much better for your hair to leave it this way. and i honestly believe you look better with curls anyway

nerdfightersadie75 - 20.5.2012 1:05:20
try plopping, it allows for ur hair to curl, without the weight of the rest of your hair weighing down your roots :) theres plenty of videos for help!

just one question :) do you straight your hair every day? in your other videos your hair is so cool straight! just ask because you say your curls are natural :)

I take small hair claw style clips & clip my hair up to give curl & body to my root area. I use 4 or 6 claw clips. I gather sections of hair while wet and pull it up (think kind of along the lines of what people do when they are stressed and put their hands in their hair near the roots, do that and then clip it up). I use my fingers to separate the hair so that when it's clipped up it's not just one chunk but many. Clip it up in a way that you can see would produce volume/curls when it dries.

Awesome video :D My hair is kinda weird, it's about twice the size of yours and tight curly from the roots (but not afro) and tight ringlets :) Any ideas guys?
XD
I'm 13 as well :D

sceneosarusrex - 15.5.2012 6:01:03
You do the same thing I do with my hair! I hate having wavy hair though. :c And just recently I got an undercut and the undercut is starting to get these little waves... haha. You look pretty though! And girls, a good trick for FRIZZY hair (because I have terribly frizzy hair) is to get some sugar and warm water, put it in a spray bottle and spritz it from root to end. :) It should help! Though I'm not entirely sure if that's healthy... lol.
19AmberEyes97 - 15.5.2012 1:42:30
Try twisting them while blow drying, it help immensely :D
Missbethanygee123 - 14.5.2012 22:28:09
This is exactly the same as my hair but it still goes frizzy throughout the day even if i put mous on!!!!
carsRcool66 - 14.5.2012 6:13:42
same with my hair, get shorter layers, the under part of your hair is probably really wavy/curly, thats because it is shorter, since the top layer starts from the top of your hairline it looks shorter but actually it is longer, therefore more weighted down, i would suggest getting shorter layers while still keeping the length
:)
