Really don't understand why this is called "invention of love" though.

different people, different needs. if someone doesn't get what they need, they start to die. over simplified :P
EchoingSentiments1 - 23.5.2012 19:52:49
When we first love, we give that love what it needs to thrive. But often as we settle into a life where love is but another fixture of daily life, we introduce that love to an environment where it cannot live. It's not until it's gone do we realize what it took to keep it alive and by then, it's too late. It will never return to the beautiful state it once was. The hollow remains of even a true love can never give us that spark of life. He who mechanizes a beautiful love lives a barren life.

I view the rose as symbolic for life itself. The inventor tossed it out because it was wilting and certain to die just like all forms of life. When he tries to replace his wife, he's doing exactly what he did with the mechanical flower. He was replacing the beauty of organic life with something that lasts forever but still means nothing. We can't stand losing someone we love but isn't it always better to love someone and loose them than to never to love them at all?

It's meaning. Thật ý nghĩa. I like it.
BanananaDang - 23.5.2012 7:27:41
I think the meaning is as simple as this: You cannot create, force, or "invent" love. You must let it grow naturally. Otherwise it is bound to break down.
suntbelgae - 23.5.2012 1:28:34
technology is there to simplyfy a task, otherwise there wouldnt be a point in mentioning it, put your point is well placed, im just commenting on your wording
maxorange747 - 22.5.2012 22:17:17
I found out another meaning about this animation:it is about our future, the man is the technology, ang the woman is the nature, she is so devastated about the bunch of tecnology and she is even more shocked when the man (the technology)throws the flower away,so when she gets to the last flower in the city, she finally dies, that means that if the technology is well employed, the nature can survive, but if we use it to simplify our lives,it can be dangerous for the nature

You have to rebuild your wife out of scrap metal in a world where everyone travels by mechanical balloon? Really?
XtraTycoon - 21.5.2012 22:37:37
the end reminds me of E.T.A Hoffman's Sandman

A man once picked a beautiful flower from the open fields and brought her home. He gave her water and love, but still the flower longed for the fields where she came from. She longed for the warm rays of the sun on her leaves, which couldn't reach her since she was hidden away in the house of the man. Eventually the flower died. The man didn't understand, for he had a lamp for the flower. But the light of the lamp couldn't replace the warm rays of the sun.
