Man we had to watch this movie at school we read a book so we had to watch this movie it's sooo boring when ever the songs came all the class start singing quietly and the teacher got piss ! But in the end it's quite good :)

I'm a classic rock buff too. I saw this movie when I was 2.5 yrs-old at a drive-in in '68 & loved it. (The film came out in '65.) It's had a HUGE impact on children & adults alike. Huge grossing film & record. The most diehard metal-thrasher, even if they don't like the music, would have to admit JA's superb vocals, the other singers, the song arrangements, and that the movie *is* about the power of music as it relates to the plot. I know of many rockers who would never poo-poo this movie.

Don't feel guilty for appreciating good music and a good movie all rolled in one. I'm a weekend grease monkey on cars and do other dude stuff and love dude sci-fi and action flicks, but this movie is top tier.
I feel sorry for people that can't appreciate the level of talent that Julie Andrews brought us and instead think non-talents like Justin Beiber are the best the planet has ever seen.
