Once every 48 years, bamboo forests in Northeast India go into flower, and black rats descend upon them, like a plague. For the first time, National Geographic and NOVA and have captured this phenomenon film.

@B4urLIFE Violence is never pretty, but in a rural Indian village, do you think they'll really value the life of a rat over a human being's? Rats breed in large litters and females are almost always pregnant. They carry the safest and most humane strategy for both parties.

I agree that domesticated pet rats can be cute. However, a rat covered in its own waste or harboring diseases, deserves be die. Think about it. Would you let twenty or thirty wild, dangerous animals endanger your family in their own home?

I agree. I disliked the video. It is a typical propaganda against innocent rats, why don't they show how human has been multiplied so much caused so much damage to other life forms with the dramatic evil music. Please search "Euarchontoglires Need Protection". Rats are our evolutionary cousins, they are genetically closer to humans than cats and dogs! Please dislike the video! Also India has tradition of liking rats. Please Search 'Rat Temple'.
