You expect a bunch of 40 year old's to sing about being drunk or getting high? Their music has changed and the band (for what I see) have matured since the 90s. Billie is no longer the arrogant asshole.
He's into politics and the what happen's in the world. Why? Because he has children and he cares about what happens in the world. It's 2012 and there's so much happening, you can't help but want to make a record so people can relate to it.
